Solid Standards {purity}

 "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."  ~ Matthew 7: 24-27

This is a great example for savinn your heart.  Your beliefs, qualities and standards,  MUST be set on a solid foundation - your faith in Christ.  If not, your flesh will easily get the best of you, your qualties and standards will be forgotten.  Set your commitment on Christ- the Solid Rock.

{feminine modesty}

Recently I have been thinking a lot about modesty and femininity.  It is definitely something that our culture needs these days, you don't find it even among most Christian circles.  Just yesterday I read a quote by Peter Marshall in a Daughterhood by Design article. "The world has enough women who know how to be smart.  It needs women who are willing to be simple.  The world has enough women who know how to be brilliant.  It needs women who will be brave.  The world has enough women who are popular.  It needs more who are pure.  We need women, who would rather be morally right than socially correct." ~ Peter Marshall.
