Our trip to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty!

We went out east for our uncle's wedding and while we were there Dad took us to the Statue of Liberty and a lot of fun places!  I had wanted to hand out tracts at the Statue, but I found it hard actually to find someone who could speak English!

Waiting for everyone to get ready to go through security before we get on the ferry!

We are on our way!!!

A view of the statue from the boat.

Our first stop was Ellise Island.
Wow!
The outside of the building.
Inside the big hall; this is the room where the immigrants would have a medical exam.

Vince found something that he likes!

Finally, on our way to the statue!
Notice the helicopter on the right!
The amazing detail of her robe!

This is a to scale replica of Liberty's foot.

This is a picture from on the pedestal

Our camra has a good zoom!

I will be posting the rest of our trip later!

Faith's Piece from the speech meet

A homeschool group we are involved in had a speech meet the boys were the right age to do it so here are the videos of them. Also, Faith from our Bright Lights group was there so we have a video of her too.

Mother's Day

Vince made this book for Mom for Mother's Day. Didn't he do a wonderful job?!!

Just so you know, Lance wasn't really crying. We staged the picture, he sure did a great job making that face though! Also, each of these stories really happened.

A Belated Mother's Day Post......

The Mischief Maker
By: Vince Fedewa

Once there was a little boy. At the age of two you could already tell that he was going to be a mischief.

One day he chased his brother around with a loaf of French Bread saying, "He won't let me hit him!" All through this his mom was patient.

Then one day he saw his little brother taking a drink from a drinking fountain. He snuck up behind him and stuck his head down in the water! All through this his mom tried to be patient.

Look at that smile....

Now you know why!

He is older now and is still just as much a mischief! His mom is still trying to be patient.

Thank you Mom for being patient with me! You are great!

Timber!

A few days ago we had the ash tree that was in our front yard cut down.  It was a very fun thing to see!  Our neighbor was gone on a bike ride when it fell, but he got back in time to see it before it was all cut up.  He said that when he was a little boy he was playing soccer out in his yard with some friends and all of a sudden they heard a crack and the tree in their front yard fell!  Everyone was safe, but of course it would be very scary!

Our house before the tree was cut down.

I got a video of it falling, Vince watches it all the time!

We all love to climb trees, so as soon as it was safe to go near the tree, Vince asked if he could climb it!

Dad always helps whenever he can.  So he had us all go out and help load the wood into the truck.

I love this picture of Noela!  She looks so cute!

Gee- UP Horsey!

I said that we liked to climb in trees, well I took this picture from the top of a tree in our neighbors back yard.  Mom wants me to take a picture of the neighborhood from up there.  You can see how far down it is by looking at the pool below.  Grant is climbing up after me.
