Scheduled | The sky

Right now I am more than likely having a wonderful time listening to a wonderful speaker and growing in my faith!  This is the promised post, it doesn't have all the pictures from the sunset.  I will have to share more with you later.  Enjoy~

1 Chronicles 16:28 "Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength."

blogging break and pictures

I will be going out of state for a convention this next week.  I am going to try to schedule a post for the middle of this week while I am gone, but it will be the first time that I have done it.  I am not sure if it will actually work.  I will find out when I return :)  In the mean time I thought I would share a few random pictures from recent photo shoots.  I will post the rest of the pictures when I get back!

Proverbs 8:28 "When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:"

Matthew 6:29 "And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."

Genesis 1:17 "And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,"

Psalms 127:3 "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."

"Morning has Broken!"

I wake up in the morning, it's 7:00,  as I lift up the shade I can tell that it is going to be a beautiful morning!  The sun starts to brighten and in it you can see the millions of little droplets of water on each stem of grass.  What would any photographer do?!  Well, I am sure you know what filled the next half hour of my morning!  As I grabbed my camera and ran outside into the wet grass, I couldn't believe how magnificent God's creation is, and couldn't help but praise Him who made it all!  Sitting down in the grass, I was able to see more beauty than anyone else that morning in the dropletts of dew and catch some of their beauty with my camera.

Proverbs 19:12 ~ "A king's rage is like the roar of a lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass."

~ The Moon ~

I have always had a hard time getting night pictures.  Does anyone have any tips on how I could improve them or how to set up your camera to take them better?  They didn't turn out very clear though I used a tripod.

Our Bright Lights group is memorizing Psalm 119, we each have eight verses that we have to memorize in a month.   There are 22 sections of eight verses each in Psalm 119 and we have 23 girls.  The girls are all excited to get started!  It will be fun to be able to say that we have Psalm 119 memorized : )  I will record when we get together to recite it and share it with you all.

"Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. " Isaiah 40:26

P.S.  Stay tuned for a portrait contest!

"I rise up and call her blessed"

I am so thankful for a mom who is willing to stay at home and teach us.   She is such an inspiration to me and I have learned so much through her example.  I know that not all children have the opportunity to grow up in a strong christian home.  She is such a blessing to all of us ~ Thank you Mom!

"Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her." ~ Proverbs 31:28

Dandelions ~ a child's friend... adults enemy!  You never would know how beautiful dandelions actually are.  I took some close-ups of them and was showing them to dad, he was amazed that it was a dandelion!  They are just wonderful to look at and pick in our neighbors yards :~)  I hope that you enjoy this photo shoot of Noela and her friends~the dandelions!

How to make dandelion crowns...perfect activity to do with your little ones!

  1. Gather all your little friends and siblings to pick a large bunch of dandelions, be sure to leave the stems as long as you can as this will be helpful later.
  2. Start with three flowers, crossing them over each other to form a braid
  3. After you have crossed the stems over each other a few times, start adding a dandelion to each stem as you bring it over.  (it is just like french braiding hair)
  4. Once you have make the braid long enough to fit the little ones head tie the two ends together with another dandelion, grass, or just pinch them with a bobby pin.
  5. Enjoy watching the cuties run around with their crowns!

On Saturday a few neighbor children were over at our house playing, they really enjoyed making crowns and picking dandelions.  It was so cute to see them run up with a new bunch of the flowers for me to use!

Finding beauty in the simplest parts of God's creation!

P.S. Does anyone know of any photo contests that are going on or coming up?  If I don't hear of any, I might just have to host one myself *smile.*

I won this beautiful apron from "Garden of Giveaways" Marie Madeline Studio giveaway.  The Marie Madeline Studio makes very high quality items.  I just love to cook/bake with my new lovely apron on!

Lance found a tree frog the other day.  It is wonderful to be finding frogs, hear the crickets, and see the flowers once again!
A few more flowers are now blooming in our garden!
