Mom and Mirae

Tiny toes and a button nose,

Cherub cheeks flush with sleep. We cuddle close, this is the most wonderful thing to do. I am rockin' the baby so brand new, you know your big sister will always love you!"

: : Christmas Tea : :

A few weeks ago Haley and I had the opportunity to serve at a Christmas tea.  It was a lot of fun! Turner Dodge is a historical house where they host lots of different events.

The first time my sister and I volunteered at the Turner Dodge House was for their Irish tea,  Mom was looking through our Parks and Recreation guide and saw that they were having an Irish event.   My sister and I do Irish step dancing and Mom had been discussing with us that we needed to do more with it than just the recital and a few competitions.  When she saw that their tea was coming up she thought that it was a wonderful opportunity for us to do a performance!  We got in touch with the coordinator and asked if they needed any entertainment for the tea and just a few weeks later found us  preforming for our first event!

As some of you know we now do many performances each year and have even been able to perform at the Warton Center for their inner circle.   I am not trying to brag, but just show you that it is possible to use your talents for the Lord.  Give Him your little and He will use it for His Glory!  We must always be prepared because we don't know when those opportunities will come.

~Let Your Light Shine~

Are you shining your light for Christ?  It is our job as Christians to show the rest of the world God's gift He is offering to everyone.

“I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me, should not abide in darkness.”  John 12:46

"God is light and in Him is no darkness at all."  1John 1:5

"Then Jesus spoke to them again saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12

"Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light."  Genesis 1:3

December 1~ Snow

December 1st is now here, snow is swirling through the air.  I stand enthralled in awe and wonder as I watch God's handiwork on each snow flower.  Each flake of  snow is so unique and yet they all have six sides each.  Who could say there is no God, who cares and plans for us all?!  Each morning sun and evening hew, each drop of rain or spot of dew, awakes my love for Him anew!

Yellow Flowers and a Testimony

I just have to share this wonderful testimony, I am so grateful to God for working everything out so perfectly! Our Bright Lights group meets every first and third Monday so when there is an extra Monday in a month (like November) sometimes a few girls get confused. Yesterday we had three girls come though it was an off week, to the first two we explained what had happened and they left, but as they were driving away dad said, "Oh! If only we would have thought a little sooner, we could have had them do a skit!"

Not much later another girl showed up, this time she couldn't leave because her mom had already left. Usually the moms would come and check if they had come the right night if they don't see anyone else coming up the driveway, but because the two Realtors we had coming over were coming up the drive at the same time she thought it must be the right night and left.

Just the night before we had been discussing the next meeting as a family, and wanted to invite someone over to do a skit for the next meeting. I mentioned having a certain girl over because she is so good at drama and loves to perform. It happened to be the exact girl that came last night! God is great! We came up with a skit together and are all really excited to do it on Monday!

*Happy Thanksgiving*

Psalm 31:19 (NIV)
How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you.
