Fall: The time of year to praise God!

Why would you want to make one of the most beautiful times of year into an ugly, evil holiday--if it could be called that)?  It is a time of year that we should be praising God, for all He has done for us!  Take some time today to enjoy His nature, just take a walk through your back yard or in a park.  Remember to take some pictures so we can see the beauty too!  Don't we have a wonderful God?!

Genesis 8:22
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Instead of going "Trick or Treating" our family  passes out Gospel tracts.  What other time of the year do people just come to your door wanting something?! Take advantage of the opportunity,  don't just let the poor unsaved just walk by.  We as Christians are not suppose to shut out the others, but shine our Light to them!   What does your  family usually do for Halloween?

~Lydia~

P.S. How would you all like to hear our family's testimony about how we got rid of our TV?

I posted recently about how we don't celebrate Halloween on my blog! It's great to read likeminded blogs!
We don't want anything to do with a day that promotes dragging spiritual bondage in the streets! We don't call it a holiday either, because holiday's roots come from Holy - Day. Halloween is not holy, last I checked!
Like the pix! You're getting better at that!
And, sure, tell us all about how you rid of your television! A lot of people are doing that, or turning it around so it's harder to watch! I only watch 2 hours a week. That's all I can really stand!!!

PS A friend told me they nominated me for the Featured Femina @ Feelin' Feminine! I'm so excited! Let's see if it happens.

Whoa. This comment could be a book. Stopping...

Beautiful photography, Lydia! And, yes, I would enjoy reading your family's testimony! We haven't had TV in our home since I was very young and am *SO* thankful for that! We have a small one tucked away in our storage room for a rare time to watch an educational or Christian film, but other than that, no TV for us either!

Blessings!
Elizabeth
P.S. Thanks so much for entering the giveaway on my blog for "The Family Daughter" book!

Our family doesn't celebrate Halloween either. Since we live on a resort, people don't come here to trick-or-treat.

I'd love to hear your testimony on how your family got rid of the TV. We don't have a TV...it's just a major distraction and usually there's nothing worth watching on there anyways.

Blessings!

WE don't celebrate halloween either, One year we did pass out tracts. Actually we tied them to balloons and let them go, it was fun! ;)
