Crocheting

The knitting and crocheting project form Growing In Him ended today.  I didn't make a ton of hats, but I figured that a few was better than none!  If you participated in this project please post some pictures of your hats or tell us how many you made!

Blessings of my Creator!

It sure has been a wonderful year, God is always showing me more and more about Him and His Word~through His Word.   I have been greatly blessed with another little sister on the way, the Bible Bee was a real encouragement to memorize scripture, Daughterhood by Design magazine has been a great asset in my commitment to purity,  I have had the desire to share my faith with the lost put into my heart, the list could go on and on!  One last, but definitely not least blessing I would like to mention is I have been blessed with 9 wonderful followers on my blog!

PTL!

Is there a scripture passage that you are working on memorizing?  I would love to hear about how it is going and what you are learning from it!

Romans 1:16 (King James Version)

16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

A Wonderful Testimony!

I thought that you might enjoy to hear this encouraging testimony that one of our Bright Lights moms wrote to our group!

Dear Bright Lights Girls and Families,

Our family would like to thank you so much for doing the quick collection of canned goods, jacket and warm blankets for the homeless people living in tents along the River Trail. We dropped them off this morning, and they were so thankful to receive those items! We were able to chat with them a bit and pray with them. Our whole family went out, but they were very nice and did not seem to mind our intrusion.

They seemed to be out of food and one man did not have a winter coat yet and was very happy to receive one! We also brought them a plastic storage box so that they can receive food other than canned goods but keep it away from the raccoons. In addition to the canned goods the "Homeless Helpers" bought fresh fruit, donuts and cider for them.

Their plan is to stay there through the winter. Please pray for them!!!

Bless you for reaching out to them!

~Time Alone~

Deep in the silence of the forest

Was where I'd go to be

That I might hear in Nature's stillness

God's voice speak to me.

His voice, it echoed through the trees

When the wind caressed their limbs,

Like angels softly whispering

A thousand prayer hymns.

And through the brook, His voice, it laughed

A strong and joyful song

Which spoke of His enduring love

As it winded its way along.

He spoke through the clamor of the squirrels

And the owl's solemn cries, and evening played His symphonies

In the crickets' lullabies.  These melodies, they stirred my soul

To depths no words could express.  Alonein the forest my heart did find

its greatest happiness!
