Another Recipie

Challah Bread
1/4 cup warm water and to packages yeast (4 1/2 tsp.) Dissolve together and set aside
Measure in large bowl:
2 3/4 cup warm water
1/2 cup oil (we used olive oil)
4 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup sugar
Stir all together. Add 3 eggs one at a time and add the yeast. Add flour one at a time start adding flour until dough is not sticky anymore--usually ten or more! I use a little less than half white, the rest whole wheat. Let dough rise until doubled. Divide into balls, let rest ten minute, make braids (however big you want them). Let double again. Brush loaves with egg. Bake at 350 degrees, until brown--it depends on how big you've made the braids.
Hope that all makes sense!! It isn't as confusing as it seems once you've done it.
